Campaign control · Visitor rules
Fewer, better-timed interruptions
Frequency rules decide when a campaign stops appearing, so a returning visitor is not asked the same thing again and again.
How this demo opens
- Opens
- Automatically, three seconds after this page loads.
- Shows on
- This page only. The page linked above is outside the campaign.
- Repeats
- Once per browser-tab visit, and no more than three times in this browser.
- Dismissal
- Don’t show this again stops it for good in this browser. The close button does not.
- Opening it yourself
- Always works, ignores these rules, and counts as one of the three displays.

What to expect on this page
- First load in this tab: the small panel in the corner opens after three seconds.
- Reload the page: it does not open again. It has already been shown in this tab.
- Open this page in a new tab: it opens again, because each tab is a new visit. After three displays in this browser it stops for good.
- Choose “Don’t show this again”: it never opens automatically in this browser again.
- Visit the page outside the campaign: nothing opens there, whatever the history says.
Demo-site utility
This browser’s history for the campaign
Reading this browser’s history…
Popup Engine keeps this history in your browser’s own storage, not on the server. The reset button below is part of this demo site, not a plugin feature: it clears only this campaign’s history in this browser, then reloads the page.
What this demonstrates
Show a campaign often enough to help, and then stop.
01
Once per visit
A visit is the life of one browser tab. Reloading the same tab never shows the campaign twice.
02
A frequency cap
After three displays in this browser, automatic opening stops. Every display counts, including ones you open yourself.
03
Page targeting
The campaign is scoped to this page. Pages outside the campaign never load it.
